A. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
The Police and Fire Commission meeting was called to order on Wednesday, March
18, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Present at the roll call were Commissioners Dave Deininger,
Robin McLeish, Amanda Fields, and Jerry Guth. Absent was Greg Fedders.
B. CORRECTION OF MINUTES - FEBRUARY 12, 2026
Motion by Amanda Fields to approve the minutes from February 12, 2026, seconded
by Robin McLeish. On a roll call vote, the motion passed unanimously.
C. BUISNESS: CLOSED
1. BUSINESS CLOSED UNDER WIS. STATS. §19.85(1)(c) Considering employment,
promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data of any public employee
over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility:
DISCUSSION REGARDING POLICE CHIEF CANDIDATE(S) QUALIFICATIONS
Motion by Jerry Guth to enter closed session at 2:03 PM, seconded by
Amanda Fields. On a roll call vote, the motion passed unanimously.
Motion by Jerry Guth to return from closed session at 2:41 PM, seconded by
Robin McLeish. On a roll call vote, the motion passed unanimously.:
D. BUSINESS: OPEN
1. Discussion on Recruitment and Timeline on Police Chief Candidate
The Commission discussed the timeline and desired membership for the interview
panels. It was determined that there will be two interview panels comprised of
Commission members, City staff, and members of the public. Staff will reach out
to potential panelists for interviews scheduled on April 16th.
E. ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Amanda Fields to adjourn at 2:52 PM, seconded by Jerry Guth. On a
voice vote, the motion passed unanimously.
This Police and Fire Commission may take any action it considers appropriate
related to any item on this agenda.
