CITY OF MONROE LICENSE COMMITTEE MINUTES DATE: MONDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 2026 TIME: 4:45 PM PLACE: COUNCIL CHAMBERS - 1110 18TH AVENUE A. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL The License Committee meeting was called to order on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 4:47 PM. Present in person were Christopher Vestin, Tom Miller, and Corinne Wartenweiler. Absent was Richard Thoman. B. CORRECTION OF MINUTES - DECEMBER 8, 2025 The meeting from December 8, 2025 were accepted as presented. C. BUSINESS 1. Discussion and Possible Recommendation to Common Council the Suisse Haus' Beer Garden Application A motion was made by Miller, seconded by Vestin, to approve and recommend to Common Council. The motion passed 3-0, by the following vote: AYES: Tom Miller, Corinne Wartenweiler, Christopher Vestin NOES: None ABSENT: Richard Thoman ABSTAINED: None D. BUSINESS PRESENTED BY MEMBERS Clerk Wahl reported that he received a Temporary Class B application from the Monroe Cheesemakers Booster Club for an event on March 13th. The Booster Club was not aware that the application was required to go before the License Committee prior to Council approval. Clerk Wahl proposed either holding a brief meeting at 6:15 p.m. prior to the Council meeting for consideration or forwarding the application directly to Council if the Committee was comfortable doing so. The Committee agreed to send the application directly to Council for action. E. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Miller, seconded by Vestin, to adjourn at 4:50 PM. The motion passed 3-0, by the following vote: AYES: Tom Miller, Corinne Wartenweiler, Christopher Vestin NOES: None ABSENT: Richard Thoman ABSTAINED: None This Committee may take any action it considers appropriate related to any item on this agenda.
