CITY OF MONROE SALARY AND PERSONNEL COMMITTEE MINUTES DATE: MONDAY, MAY 11, 2026 TIME: 5:30 PM PLACE: CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS - 1110 18TH AVE A. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL The Salary & Personnel Committee meeting was called to order on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 5:39 PM. Present in person were Heidi Treuthardt, Corrine Wartenweiler, Christopher Vestin, and Craig Franke. B. CORRECTION OF MINUTES - APRIL 27, 2026 The minutes from April 27, 2026, were accepted as presented. C. BUSINESS: CLOSED UNDER WIS. STATS. 19.85 (1)(C) 1. BUSINESS CLOSED: Wis. Stats. 19.85(1)(c): Considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility: REGARDING THE CITY TREASURER PAY GRADE AND STEP IN RELATION TO CURRENT ADJUSTMENTS IN RESPONSIBILITIES A motion was made by Wartenweiler, seconded by Treuthardt, to entered closed session at 5:40 PM. The motion passed 4-0, by the following vote: AYES:Craig Franke, Heidi Treuthardt, Corinne Wartenweiler, Christopher Vestin NOES:None ABSENT:None ABSTAINED: None A motion was made by Treuthardt, seconded by Wartenweiler, to return from closed session at 6:03 PM. The motion passed 4-0, by the following vote:  AYES: Craig Franke, Heidi Treuthardt, Corinne Wartenweiler, Christopher Vestin NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAINED: None D. BUISNESS: OPEN 1. Discussion and Possible Recommendation to Common Council Regarding Revised 2026 Compensation Pay Scale to Include Account Technician - Utility Account Tech and Remove Utility Staff Accountant Administrator Rindy provided a brief overview of the position change and pay scale adjustments. A motion was made by Vestin, seconded by Treuthardt, to approve and recommend to Common Council . The motion passed 4-0, by the following vote: AYES:Craig Franke, Heidi Treuthardt, Corinne Wartenweiler, Christopher Vestin NOES:None ABSENT:None ABSTAINED: None 2. Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Current Pay Grade and Step Location for the City Treasurer A motion was made by Franke, seconded by Vestin, to approve and recommend to Common Council the one time step increase on the pay scale for the city treasurer . The motion passed 4-0, by the following vote: AYES:Craig Franke, Heidi Treuthardt, Corinne Wartenweiler, Christopher Vestin NOES:None ABSENT:None ABSTAINED: None E. BUSINESS BY MEMBERS F.
