Contract #25-289 Consider approving a Resolution to Award the Water Treatment Plant No. 1 Renovations Project to J. Cumby Construction, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $8,043,000.00, and the associated budget ordinance amendment. This project includes replacement of an existing clearwell, improvements in backwash and high service pumping systems, generator and electrical improvements and associated piping and valve replacement. The project was awarded $9,500,000 in American Rescue Plan Act funding. Construction duration is 620 days from Notice to Proceed, and includes intermediate milestones for coordination of plant shutdowns and substantial completion. Per federal regulations attached to funding, the project must be completed no later than December 31, 2026.
