Kelli will provide an update on the community solar project.

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.

PROPOSED ACTIONS: approve the minutes as presented; approve minutes with

Garrett moved to approve the minutes as presented. Sam seconded.

3. Community Solar Project
City Staff has reviewed the letter of support and responded with several comments and
recommendations that should be addressed before the letter is sent to City Council. Kelli will
summarize these comments and discuss the potential for a community solar project.
PROPOSED ACTIONS: receive the report and take action as deemed appropriate.
The Police Station would be the first City building to install solar panels followed by the new
City Shop. They talked about how the savings would be distributed to low income and local
residents.
The group agreed that the letter needs to be more detailed.
4. Community Solar Project Subcommittee (ACTION ITEM)
The SEC will discuss the possibility for a subcommittee to continue working on the
Community Solar Project. The SEC will vote to establish a subcommittee or utilize an
existing subcommittee for this purpose.
PROPOSED ACTIONS: vote to approve a subcommittee or take other action as deemed
appropriate.
Al proposed reinstating the Climate Action Working Group to help with the project rather
than creating a new subcommittee. All agreed.
5. Synopsis of EEE Fair
The SEC will review and discuss the EEE Fair held April 4.
PROPOSED ACTIONS: receive the report and take action as deemed appropriate
Mac says the fair went great and great attendance.
REPORTS
1. City Sustainability Report- Kelli Cooper
Last City Council meeting featured Mayors Earth Day awards and adopted Water
Conservation Plan.
Kelli judged at a local Youth Water summit that focuses on water research projects.
2. Moscow High School Subcommittee Report – Ash Werner
No update.
3. Climate Action Working Group – TBA
