COMMISSION ISSUES
Commissioner Pellicore provided a brief overview of the Hatlen Heights Friendly Neighborhood Streets
Program presentation to the Village Board at the December 2nd meeting, further, Commissioner Pellicore
requested an update from Staff. Liaison Foresman indicated that the Village Board had not approved the

information on stop signs and speed humps as they relate to traffic calming. Staff will be presenting the
additional requested information to the Village Board at the December 16 meeting. Unless directed by
the Village Board, the project will not be coming back to the Transportation Safety Commission for further
discussion.
Liaison Foresman provided an update on the William Street Friendly Neighborhood Streets Program
Project: the project was approved by the Village Board on October 28, 2025 as recommended by the
Transportation Safety Commission. Staff is now working on implementation pending the outcome of the
Hatlen Heights Friendly Neighborhood Streets Program Project.
Commissioner Lowry offered appreciation to Public works for exemplary snow removal operations during
the recent winter storm.
Commission Pellicore asked how the Friendly Neighborhood Streets Program was promoted to the public.
Liaison Foresman indicated that whenever residents reach out about traffic issues that could qualify, they
are referred to the program. Additionally, there is an opportunity for the program to be included in a
