Old # 1 Fire Truck Preservation Committee October 20, 2025 Meeting Minutes CALL TO ORDER MINUTES APPROVAL Approval of the September 15, 2025 Minutes OLD BUSINESS Treasurer's Report There is $22,056.26 in the account. Facebook Report Bob is going to put up more photos from past events this year. Reviews: - September 20th Farmers Market — Jerry - September 27th - Ivanhoe Cemetery Walk — Dick - September 28th - Fire Department Open House — Eli • September 20th, Farmers Market, Good attendance, lots of kids and we cleaned out most of our give-a-ways. • September 27th, Cemetery Walk, well attended and good reviews. • September 28, Fire Department Open House, a very big success, very large crowd and lots of kids. It may be the largest Open House yet. 2025 Review - Challenge coins recap - Hats and shirts recap - Tim - Door Code for Tim - 100th Anniversary Picture - Thoughts on 2025? - Programs to continue or cancel? - Premiums to continue or cancel? • Challenge Coins recap, there have been no sales, and we have about 300 left. Gary suggested we do a better job of advertising at events with bigger signs.  • Hats and Shirts recap: 10 kids hats and 1 adult; 3 shirts are still available. None will be reordered at this time. • Tim was given his door code. • 100th Anniversary photo, we are going to meet on a Sunday in November for a brief photo session of all the committee members. Bob to set it up. • We discussed the year 2025. The Antique Fire Truck Show was a success and Tighthead had a very busy day. They advised they are still selling the Old Number One beer. The pancake breakfast was also a good success. • Bob will print up a list of all the events we did in 2025, and we will discuss them at the next meeting to determine if we want to continue them for next year. (Note, Bob and Gary presented the special plaque to Tighthead thanking them for helping put on the Antique Fire truck Show) • We will also discuss which hand-outs to reorder for next year. Maintenance: - Carb adjustment? Rebuild? - Tire cover for trailer tires - Check timing and dwell (may need points) • Repairs to be attempted in the beginning of 2026. • Carburetor may have to be removed and cleaned. • Tire cover for trailer tires, Bob S to purchase. • Timing and Dwell, we may need Points. • Need to repair brake light. NEW BUSINESS Review the updated Commission vacancy/application process approved at the October 13, 2025 Village Board meeting. Commission Vacancy/Application process. This was discussed, and it was suggested that we begin to look for possible prospects for the future. Discuss people that may be interested in the Old #1 Committee.
