Old # 1 Fire Truck Preservation Committee January 19, 2026 Meeting Minutes CALL TO ORDER MINUTES APPROVAL Approval of the November 17, 2025 Meeting OLD BUSINESS Treasurers Report: We have $2,000.00 in our Scholarship Fund and $20,056.20 in our regular account. Facebook Report Bob continues to add photos and comments. Maintenance Carb adjustment? Rebuild? Tire Cover for trailer tires — Bob Check timing and dwell (may need points). Check the brake/running light. Look at ONO sign for front of awning. Check out a possible cooling hose leak. Check the level of water in the batteries. Check brake adjustments. Check clutch pedal adjustments. Look over oil leaks and fix them if possible. Next work date is 2/21/2026 at 10:00am. NEW BUSINESS Interest in Open Secretary Position Award Presentation to Vern Lappe at 7:00 PM at the February 23, 2026, Village Board Meeting. 2026 Planning • Bob passed out Village banners to committee members. • Committee members were reminded about the vacancy/application process. • Eligibility Forms were passed out to Dick and Ray and Karen still needs to complete hers. • Mundelein High School Scholarship Program for 2026. Applications are due by March 9th. This year’s scholarship is $2,000.00. Ray and Bob will handle this year. • Premium Hand-outs: Discussion was around 101 dalmatians i.e. key chains, stickers, etc. We will also use regular ONO stickers and dalmatian hats for 2026 hand-outs. • New foam panels for sandwich boards are needed. • Better displays for Old Number One Challenge coins. • Event Planning for 2026 events were passed out, dates are TBD. • Committee members should bring New Fund raiser ideas to the next meeting.
