Mundelein Foreign Fire Tax Board Meeting August 18, 2025 Minutes CALL TO ORDER Meeting called to order at 0835 ADDITIONS OR DELETIONS TO AGENDA ATTENDANCE Officers Present: Bill Lark, Angel Gonzaga, Greg Kornfeind, David Brimmer, Kurt Rodewald Officers Not Present: Brian Jones, Joel Kuester Members Present: Patrick Collins, Mike Akers, Jeremy Lockwood, Dan Mastandrea, Jake Ellegood, Brad Sashko, Tyler Gaunky, Ryland Marchioni, Dan Buhrmester MINUTES APPROVAL Motion to approve Minutes from the May 19, 2025, meeting made by Angel Gonzaga, seconded by David Brimmer. Motion Approved. MINUTES APPROVAL REPORTS REPORTS Motion to approve the treasurer's report from May 19, 2025, to August 17, 2025, was made by Angel Gonzaga, seconded by Greg Kornfeind. Motion Approved. OLD BUSINESS OLD BUSINESS - Challenge coins arrived and were distributed among membership. The vendor did send out a shipping invoice and a motion was made not to exceed $300.00 to pay for the shipment invoice. Motion made by Angel Gonzaga, seconded by Kurt Rodewald. Motion approved. - Patio furniture discussion tabled for the next meeting. - Station hats tabled for the next meeting. - Kitchen items were presented to the Board and a motion was made to approve up to $2500 for new kitchen cookware. Motion made by Kurt Rodewald, seconded by David Brimmer. Motion approved unanimously. - Engine mud flaps arrived, pending installation on 4311 - LED light tower already installed on 4311 and invoiced. - Extrication tools are earmarked and are due to ship sometime in September.  - IPPFA retirement guides arrived and were distributed to membership. - Thermal imaging camera arrived and was installed. Item did go over budget by approximately $40 and will discuss with the vendor about a quote adjustment. - Water bottles arrived and were distributed to membership. - Station TV's tabled, for next meeting. - After fire soap, tabled for next meeting. - Safety sunglasses, tabled for next meeting. NEW BUSINESS NEW BUSINESS - Calibration equipment was tabled for next meeting as items will be budgeted into next year's department budget. - Motion made to approve $2000 for Fire vs Police t-shirts / jerseys by Angel Gonzaga, seconded by David Brimmer. Motion passed. - Bay tables were discussed, and motions were tabled for the next meeting pending further research into the building materials. - Motion was made to approve $1200 for 4 new water bottle coolers in the engines by Angel Gonzaga, seconded by David Brimmer.
