CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Pro Tem Wilson called the Liquor Commission Meeting to order on January 27,
2025 at 7:14 PM.
ATTENDANCE
Deputy Clerk Monroe took the roll call. It indicated as follows:

Liquor Violation - Keing Corporation d/b/a Ramen Chicago Mundelein
Sale/delivery of alcoholic beverages to persons under 21 years of age on December 3,
2024, in violation of Section 5.76.190 of the Village Code of the Village of Mundelein
and 235 ILCS 5/6-16(a).
Attorney Larry LaLuzerne spoke about the Chicago Ramen Liquor Violation. On
December 3, 2024, the MPD did compliance checks throughout the Village. An
underage individual was served liquor at the Chicago Ramen Restaurant. They will pay a
fine of $1,000 and not receive a suspension of their liquor license since this is their first
offense. Chicago Ramen Manager Terumi Tokita spoke of the training protocol used by
their restaurants.

NEW BUSINESS
Liquor Violation - SAA Sports Bar, Inc. dba Lucky Bites Bar and Grill - 605 North
Midlothian Road
Attorney LaLuzerne explained the citation issued to Lucky Bites restaurant during a
compliance check and sold alcohol to a minor. Mr. LaLuzerne explained that this is a
slightly different situation since Lucky Bites is currently closed. Mr. LaLuzerne pointed
out to the owners of Lucky Bites that if a business is closed for 60 days or more, the
liquor license is invalidated and returned to the Village. Mr. Alay Shah was present
representing Lucky Bites and explained that the cook was the one serving the minor
and has been terminated. He is sorry about this. Commissioner Lentz pointed out that if
the business finds a buyer that the liquor license is not transferable. A $1000 fine was
issued.

Ordinances of the Village of Mundelein, and as the holder of a Class G Liquor License No. LL24-04028 of
the Village of Mundelein, that the undersigned shall hold a public hearing on January 27,2025 at7:L5
p.m. following the Regular Village Board of Trustees meeting of the Village of Mundelein, 300 Plaza
