OLD BUSINESS: There was some follow-up discussion from the previous meeting regarding the potential to cancel meetings if there are no agenda items or public speakers. The general consensus of the group was that the commission plays an important role in providing an opportunity for the public to engage the city. Quarterly meetings are not too onerous. The poor attendance over the past few meetings is likely a result of COVID and the hope is that more people will attend future meetings. Also, Mr. Zibble indicated that he expects to have student representatives return for the 2022/23 school year. There was some discussion by members about the potential to expand the commission's ability to assist the public, particularly those that attend public forum. Although direct action by the commission may be outside their scope of responsibilities, there was some consideration of being better prepared to recommend other agencies that could help. G.
