The individual filed a complaint against Tapestry Apartments alleging they denied her an apartment because of her disability and source of income. Williams spoke again to both parties. Tapestry reports they did not receive a completed application packet for an apartment, and they have encouraged the Complainant to apply. The Complainant said she submitted the required documents, but her emails and calls were ignored and alleges their failure to return her calls constituted the discrimination. She has not submitted any further documentation. Jacobs asked if being discouraged from making an application could be considered discrimination. Palm noted that the leasing office needs to collect all the same paperwork from everyone in order to avoid discrimination and it appears they are fulfilling that obligation. Williams recommended closing the complaint.
