CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Miller called the meeting to order at 6:32 pm ROLL CALL Present 8- Jim Bergeron, Phillip Green, Jeffrey Hild, Alex Jacobs, Bradford Miller, Brian Palm, Nate Wilson, and Barbara Tartaglione Absent 2- Diana Hawken, and Fatima Ala Also present: Geneace Williams, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Manager; Russa Bassine and Emilie Fann, Student Representatives; and one member of the public C. PUBLIC FORUM: None D. OLD BUSINESS: 1. Approve the Human Rights and Fair Housing Commission meeting minutes from September 9, 2024 Commissioner Bergeron moved to approve the Human Rights and Fair Housing Commission meeting minutes of September 9, 2024, seconded by Brian Palm. The motion was approved by a unanimous voice vote. E. NEW BUSINESS: 1. Welcome new Human Rights and Fair Housing Commissioners and Student Representatives New Commissioner Tartaglione introduced herself and the other members of the Commission introduced themselves. The new student representatives, Russa Bassine and Emilie Fann, also introduced themselves. Chairman Miller and other members of the Commission shared their perspectives on the importance of the Human Rights and Fair Housing Commission and the work the Commission has done over the past few years. 2. Approve the 2024 Human Rights and Fair Housing Commission Annual Report After receiving staff's report on the requirements and content of the Annual Report, Commissioner Palm moved to approve the 2024 Human Rights and Fair Housing Commission Annual Report, seconded by Chairman Miller. The report was approved by a unanimous voice vote. 3. Approve the Human Rights and Fair Housing Commission 2025 meeting schedule After reviewing the proposed 2025 meeting schedule for the Human Rights and City of Naperville Page 1 Printed on 5/6/2025 Human Rights and Fair Housing Meeting Minutes January 6, 2025 Commission Fair Housing Commission, Commissioner Tartaglione moved to approve the 2025 meeting schedule, seconded by Commissioner Bergeron. The 2025 meeting schedule was approved by a unanimous voice vote. F. REPORTS: None G. ADJOURNMENT: Commissioner Palm moved to adjourn the regular Human Rights and Fair Housing Commission meeting of January 6, 2025, at 6:51 pm., seconded by Commissioner Bergeron.
