CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Scott Wehrli called the meeting to order at 8:00am. B. ROLL CALL: Also Present: Macarena (Rena) Tamayo- Calabrese, President & CEO, Harriet M. Pistorio, Chief Operating Officer, Brittany Tepper, Director of Marketing, Cyndi Lopez, Guest Services Team Leader, Marcie Schatz, Assistant to the City Manager, Deborah George, Student Representative, Julie Klabel, Student Representative Present 8 - Josh McBroom, Leanne Meyer-Smith, Phillip Petti, Lee Quillinan, Alan Tang, Scott Wehrli, Julie Schremser, and Erik Long C. PUBLIC FORUM: None D. OLD BUSINESS: Receive 2024 Deferred Maintenance Update Harriet M. Pistorio reviewed the list of deferred maintenance remediated during 2024. Councilman Josh McBroom asked if any of the more costly remediated items lower future maintenance expenses? Macarena (Rena) Tamayo-Calabrese responded in the affirmative, using the low-maintenance roof installed on Meeting House as an example. Mayor Scott Wehrli noted that the City of Naperville procurement program was used for some things on the list. He asked for feedback. Harriet M. Pistorio replied that she likes it and it saves a lot of time. Receive Naper Settlement Master Plan Update Macarena (Rena) Tamayo-Calabrese explained that there have been two master plan meetings so far and the team working on it is impressive. It's complex because there are so many different pieces to it, requiring varied professional expertise. It should be completed by July and will be a fifteen year plan. Once completed, the plan will be presented to both boards for approval. The City of Naperville's contribution is expected to be $50,000 with Naperville Heritage Society contributing $150,000. Mayor Scott Wehrli stated that the plan should be presented to City Council for approval prior to the start of budget discussions in September 2025. E. NEW BUSINESS: Receive information on Camp Naper 2025 City of Naperville Page 1 Printed on 4/8/2025 Naper Settlement Museum Board Meeting Minutes - Final February 7, 2025 Harriet M. Pistorio explained that Camp Naper tickets just went on sale to the public this week and are already almost sold out. Only 9 spots remain. Macarena (Rena) Tamayo-Calabrese mentioned that we're opening up three additional camps to accommodate as many families on wait lists as we can. Councilman Josh McBroom remarked that it's incredible that even after a price increase, camps are selling out so quickly. Receive update on Wedding Showcase 2025 Brittany Tepper reviewed the 2025 Wedding Showcase recap. Compared to 2024, there were slightly fewer vendors, due to space limitations, while attendance remained approximately the same. Receive Priorities for 2025 Macarena (Rena) Tamayo-Calabrese reviewed the 9 priorities for 2025. Receive proposed 2025 deferred maintenance list Harriet M. Pistorio reviewed the list of proposed deferred maintenance remediations planned for 2025, noting that the City of Naperville's procurement system will be used as it was during 2024. F. REPORTS: Receive CY24 Attendance Demographic Tracking Report for December 2024 Harriet M. Pistorio reviewed the 2024 attendance report. Attendance exceeded expectations. Projected attendance was 112,000. Actual attendance was 128,000. Receive and approve minutes from December 13, 2024, NSMB meeting The December 13, 2024, minutes were unanimously approved. Receive and approve the Naper Settlement financial reports from November & December 2024 The November 2024 & December 2024 Naper Settlement financial reports were unanimously approved . G.
