after the first Commission meeting, those unallocated funds will be made
available to other categories.
New Initiatives would include events and amenities not currently offered in
Naperville, such as a "Buskers" event, an improv or other comedy event, an
opportunity to explore electronic art (display or gaming).
Target locations may include a call for events south of 75th Street, near
Freedom Commons, or a special call for projects that support a specific theme,
like "peace", "community" or "diversity."
All of the applications would be evaluated within the same structure the
Commission currently evaluates applications and the event would need to follow
the same eligibility and reporting requirements as current grant recipients.
The task force members will present these suggestions to the full Commission
at an upcoming meeting.
