CALL TO ORDER: Chairwoman Brodhead called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. B. ROLL CALL: Present 11 - Judith Brodhead, Vasavi Chakka, Nancy Chen, Natalia Dagenhart, Rich Gannon, Shannon Greene Robb, Allison Longenbaugh, Tom Miers, David Scriven-Young, Lai So, and Arthur Zards Absent 1- Kader Sakkaria Commissioners Scriven-Young and Zards participated via teleconference Also present: Student Commissioners, Devina Das and Rafaella Giaquinto; City Clerk, Dawn Portner; and Community Grants Coordinator, Miranda Barfuss C. PUBLIC FORUM: No speakers for Public Forum. D. OLD BUSINESS: 1. Approve the SECA Commission meeting minutes of November 18, 2023 Attachments: SECA Meeting Minutes - 111823 Commissioner Miers made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Chen, to approve the SECA Commission meeting minutes of November 18, 2023. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 9- Brodhead, Chakka, Chen, Dagenhart, Gannon, Greene Robb, Longenbaugh, Miers, Scriven-Young, So, and Zards Absent: 1- Sakkaria E. REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: 1. Approve the SECA Commission meeting schedule for calendar year 2024 Attachments: 2024 SECA Commission Meeting Schedule Commissioner Miers made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Gannon, to approve the SECA Commission meeting schedule for calendar year 2024. The motion was approved by the following vote: Aye: 9- Brodhead, Chakka, Chen, Dagenhart, Gannon, Greene Robb, Longenbaugh, Miers, Scriven-Young, So, and Zards Absent: 1- Sakkaria 2. Reach consensus on a unified recommendation for the CY24 SECA Grant Fund City of Naperville Page 1 Printed on 2/26/2024 SECA Commission Meeting Minutes - Final December 7, 2023 allocations and direct staff to forward to the City Council for review/approval Attachments: CY24 Combined Commissioners Worksheet - Final Chairwoman Brodhead proposed the Commission accept the average of all recommended allocations listed on CY24 Combined Commissioners Worksheet and if approved it would leave a balance of $7,758 to allocate. The Commission discussed taking a portion of the remaining funds and rounding up to the nearest $100 and allocating the remaining funds of $4,432 to City services for Pride Fest. Commissioner Miers made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Greene Robb, to accept the average of all the recommendations, rounding up remaining funds for recommendations to the nearest $100, and allocating the remaining balance of $4,432 to City Services for Pride Fest. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 9- Brodhead, Chakka, Chen, Dagenhart, Gannon, Greene Robb, Longenbaugh, Miers, Scriven-Young, So, and Zards Absent: 1- Sakkaria F. NEW BUSINESS: G.
