A. CALL TO ORDER:

C. PUBLIC FORUM:
Srehith Sannareddy and Teja Booireddy, 332 Farmgate Dr. Naperville; 1472 E Braymore
Cr.
Mr. Sannareddy and Mr. Booireddy both represent a Non for Profit Organization called
Wheels for All. They want the Transportation Advisory Board to help implement their
program which would give free transportation via bikes that would be at different locations
across the city.
TAB asked several questions about the project and recommended that Wheels for All
meets with city staff to further their mission of getting their non for profit started.
D. REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS:
Police Department Report
1. Approve the minutes of the October 3, 2019 Transportation Advisory Board
meeting

2. Approve the 2020 Transportation Advisory Board meeting schedule
Hynes recommends not having meetings during January and July because of the
proximity to the holidays.
Preissig mentions that the April meeting date is during the District 203 and 204 Spring
Break schedule.

3. Approve a recommendation to establish a 35 MPH speed limit for 91st Street
between Normantown Road and Schoger Drive.
Hynes provides an overview and background on 91st Street between Normantown Road

and Schoger Drive. Hynes explained that when the city annexed this segment of road
from the township it was 35 MPH. This summer the City reconstructed the road bringing
it up to city standards. After completion of the project the city received a speeding
concern and found out that the speed limit had never been established so enforcement
was not possible.
Gustin asks for clarification on what the recommendation is.

Gustin follows up on why a segment on the new sidewalk plan that was not in the city
limits got approved by TAB before it went to council. Hynes says they will follow up at the
next meeting on reasons why.
Fischer asks that with this segment being removed if more segments from year 2 will get
moved to year 1. Hynes responds that yes some segments will get moved to year 1.
Gustin asks for an update on the West Side Neighborhood traffic study. Hynes says that
the city is reviewing the study currently and that the plan is to bring the traffic toolbox to
the board for review and then following that the city would present recommendations
addressing the traffic concerns.
Gustin thanks city staff for cleaning up the Route 59 station and requests that the station
gets cleaned more frequently.
Hynes talks about the public meeting on the potential 248th Street improvements
between 95th Street and 103rd Street. Mentions that the meeting was to gather input and
that there would be a follow meeting in the next few months with some recommendations.
Gustin asks about the continuing issue of semi-trucks that are parking on Fairway and
wants the city to look in to the issue.
Preissig gives an overview of the regulations during snow events and how the public can
benefit the pedestrians in their area that use sidewalks.
Preissig thanks the city and fellow board members for his time serving on the board.
G. ADJOURNMENT:
A motion was made by Fischer, seconded by Overholt, to adjourn the meeting at
7:34 p.m. The motion carried by unanimous vote.
