AMBULANCE ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES June 20, 2013 9:00 AM Meeting held at: Division of Public Health & Community Services 18 Mulberry Street Nashua, NH 03060 Meeting called to order at 9:04 a.m. by Kerran Vigroux, DPHCS Director AAC Members Present: Kerran Vigroux, Director, Public Health & Community Services Richard Conway, Captain, Nashua Fire Department Jeff Bukunt, Captain, Nashua Police Department Mark Hastings, Southern NH Medical Center Justin Kates, Nashua Emergency Management Director AMR Representatives: Christopher Stawasz, AMR Roland Vaillancourt, AMR Members were given Minutes from the April 2013 meeting; the AMR Reports for April and May and the Agenda for the June 20, 2013 meeting. Motion made to accept the Minutes from the April 18, 2013 meeting Rich Conway accepted the Motion. Mark Hastings seconded the Motion All in favor – Unanimous Minutes Approved Co-Chair Report Kerran informed the committee that the City has engaged its external auditor to complete the annual audit of AMR. The City will also be exercising its annual option to extend the contract with AMR through September 2014. AMR Operations Manager’s Report Chris reviewed the monthly reports. AMR Nashua participated in the World Wide CPR challenge to train 50,000 people in hand-only CPR in one day. Patty organized 3 venues throughout the city: BAE, Greeley Park and the Nashua Public Library. Trainings will continue throughout the summer. A total of 231 people received the training that day. Patty is also working with Rich Conway to design a disaster drill for July that will focus on triage, include PD, Fire and EMS and will focus on First Responder injuries. The Bike Team was deployed for the first time at the Nashua Day of Caring. This was a great opportunity for outreach in the community. The Governor recognized a NFR and AMR employee for a cardiac arrest save. Committee Questions/Comments Due to staffing changes at the Nashua Police Department, Jeff will be moving to the Legal Bureau and Denis will be moving to the Detective Bureau. They will be replaced by a Police Captain who will serve on the Ambulance Advisory Committee. Kerran Vigroux requested a motion to adjourn. Rich Conway moved to adjourn the meeting. Mark Hastings seconded the motion to adjourn All in favor: Aye Meeting ended at 9:25 a.m. The next AAC Meeting will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 9:00 a.m., at the City of Nashua, Public Health and Community Services building, located at 18 Mulberry Street, Nashua.
