Chris reviewed the monthly reports. Chris reported that heroin overdoses are continuing to rise at
an alarming rate. For example, as of December 6, 2014, there had been 50 more heroin
overdoses than had occurred for the entire month of December 2013. Narcan use is also on the
rise.
Patty reported on the Community Relations activities listed in the monthly reports, noting that
AMR has reached 3,000 Compression-Only trainings in Nashua in the past two years. She is
planning for the upcoming High School Challenge again for Valentine’s Day. AMR also
assisted once again with the emergency shelter opening. Justin mentioned that the City was
fortunate to have AMR there to handle the medical issues and complications that arose.
Bryan added that they had an excellent response from AMR during a prolonged raid at Lillian’s
Country Barn where an officer was injured.
Mark asked the committee if AMR’s upcoming participation in SNHMS helipad exercise could
fulfill their contract requirement with the city for an annual MCI exercise. The committee all
agreed that it would.
