Minutes of the Board of Assessors Meeting of March 17, 2011 A meeting of the Board of Assessors was held on Thursday, March 17, 2011, in Room 208, 2nd floor of City Hall. The meeting was called to order at 8:15 AM by Acting Chair Dominic D’Antoni. Members Present: Dominic D’Antoni Kevin Moriarty Assessing Staff Present: Angelo Marino Drew Lemay Gary Turgiss Greg Turgiss Doug Dame Louise Brown Cheryl Walley Minutes of the Meeting: Minutes of the meeting held on February 17, 2011 were approved. Minutes of the meeting of February 3, 2011, and March 3, 2011 were tabled for approval. Appointments: none Abatement Requests Presented: A complete listing of all abatements approved/denied is available in Assessor’s Office. Deputy Assessor Drew Lemay presented a settlement offer for a BTLA appeal of a 2009 abatement for the property located at 31-33 Franklin Street which is owned by the Triangle Credit Union. Mr. Lemay went over the specifics of the settlement offer and advised the tax representative acting on behalf of the owner has accepted it. After a brief discussion the Board members made the following motion: MOTION BY Kevin Moriarty to agree with the proposed settlement agreement for this 2009 abatement on the property located at 31-33 Franklin Street pending receipt of a signed settlement agreement from the taxpayer or taxpayer’s representative.
