Old Business:
Regarding the 2011 abatement filed for an empty lot on Marlowe Road (Map B/Lot 436), for
which the Board asked that more information be presented, Chief Assessor Angelo Marino
explained why he is recommending approval. He advised the Board that this had an
encroachment due to the lot line going through the building on the abutting lot and because of
this, on April 1, 2011 this should not have been assessed as other buildable lots without such an
encroachment. He explained that the appropriate adjustments will be made to both lots for future
years but for the year the abatement was filed, the value should be lowered. The Board
concurred and agreed with the lower assessment.
MOTION BY Marylou Blaisell to adjourn at 9:02 AM.
SECONDED BY Dominic D'Antoni.
MOTION CARRIED unanimously.
