Minutes of the Board of Assessors Meeting of January 2, 2014 A meeting of the Board of Assessors was held on Thursday, January 2, 2014 in Room 208, 2nd floor of City Hall. The meeting was called to order at 8:15 AM by Chair Dominic D’Antoni. Members Present: Dominic D’Antoni George Farrington Robert Earley Marylou Blaisdell Assessing Staff Present: Angelo Marino Louise Brown Cheryl Walley Also present as an observer – Daniel Gagnon (member on Board of Public Works until Sunday, January 5, 2014) Minutes of the Meeting: The minutes for the meeting held on November 21, 2013 and December 19, 2013 were approved. Abatement Requests Presented: None. Appointments: None Staff Items: Supervisor of Assessing Administration, Ms. Louise Brown presented a Land Use Change Tax warrant for property on Deerwood Drive (Map F/Lot 1642) . The warrant was signed. Chief Assessor Angelo Marino introduced himself to Mr. Robert Earley and Mr. Daniel Gagnon and welcomed them to the Board. Mr. Marino told the Board that to date there have been 31 abatements filed on mostly residential properties with just one filed on a commercial property. Board member Mr. George Farrington being sworn into the Board of Education the following Sunday, will no longer be a member on the Board of Assessors. He said that everyone has been great to work with during his time on this board. Everyone wished him good luck on the Board of Education. MOTION BY George Farrington to adjourn at 8:25 AM.
