City of Nashua Division of Public Health & Community Services 18 Mulberry Street, Nashua, NH 03060 BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING September 11, 2013 12:30 PM 18 Mulberry Street, 2nd floor Nashua, NH 03060 MEETING MINUTES BOH Members Present: Dr. Ajay Sharma Dr. Anthony Storace Staff Present: Kerran Vigroux, Ashley Conley, Patty Crooker, Shannon Davis, Beverly Doolan Formal Meeting was called to order at 12:50 p.m. The Board members were given copies of the September 11, 2013 Meeting Agenda, August 2013 Department Reports and the August 2013 BOH Meeting Minutes. Vote on acceptance of the August 2013 meeting Minutes: a. Dr. Storace made a motion to postpone vote on acceptance of the August 2013 Minutes b. Seconded by Dr. Sharma BOH sponsorship for 2014 Community Health Assessment a. Dr. Storace asked if the Community Health Assessment was allocated any funding in the City’s FY14 budget b. Discussion about other funding for the Community Health Assessment c. Vote will be postponed until the October 9th Board of Health meeting to include Dr. Klementowicz Ashley introduced Dr. Storace to Shannon Davis, CDC Program Associate, as he did not meet her at the last meeting. 1 Department Reports Department Managers and Program Coordinators summarized their monthly reports which are attached to these minutes. DISCUSSION Ashley and Kerran gave an update about Arboviral surveillance and the first human case of West Nile Virus in MA. Kerran reminded attendees about the CHIP Obesity workgroup Walk a Mile with the Mayor event scheduled for October 5th.
