City of Nashua Division of Public Health & Community Services 18 Mulberry Street, Nashua, NH 03060 BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING September 10, 2014 12:30 PM 18 Mulberry Street, 2nd floor Nashua, NH 03060 MEETING MINUTES BOH Members Present: Dr. Anthony Storace Dr. Thomas Astolfi Dr. Charles Cappetta Board members were given an agenda and copies of the department reports Meeting was called to order at 12:50 pm. Minutes: Dr. Astolfi made a motion to accept the August 2014 minutes. Dr. Cappetta seconded the motion. The Motion passed. Vote Dr. Storace made a motion to approve sponsoring ten (10) students to attend the New Hampshire Public Health Association’s Fall Forum on October 1, 2014 at $45.00 each to be paid from the Board of Health Chairman’s Fund. Dr. Cappetta seconded the motion. Motion passed with a unanimous vote. Reports Department Managers and Program Coordinators summarized their reports for the month of August, 2014. Dr. Storace requested that next year the Board receive a Save the Date as soon as the conference is announced, so they may reserve the date if they would like to attend. Kerran announced that Jacqueline Aguilar has been hired as the new Community Health Department Manager and will be starting on September 22, 2014. Betty Wendt presented the Community Health Department’s report. Ashley Conley announced that the Community Health Assessment was nearing completion and that the 1 public comment period would be publicized and Board of Health members would have an opportunity to participate in the public comment period. Once complete, the Board will need to officially approve of the document. Public Comments None Dr. Cappetta made a motion to adjourn. Dr. Astolfi seconded the motion. The Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 1:30 pm. The next meeting will be on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 12:30-1:30 pm. 2
