Director Fauteux provided the Board with an overview of the Division’s FY13 draft
budget. There were several factors impacting the Division with the increase cost of
commodities such as constructions materials, asphalt, tires, and lubricants. The FY13
budget was developed while making a best effort to not exceed a one percent increase
division wide
A discussion was had on the various department budgetary needs. The Solid Waste
Department budget reflected an increase of $150,000 for the construction of a mandated
soil wall. The Street Department budget now included Traffic related expenses since the
merger during FY12.
The Board agreed to review the draft budget and advise the Director if they felt an
additional budget workshop was warranted prior to approval.
Mayor Lozeau also informed the Board that additional changes to the budget may be
required.
