RE: Weston & Sampson Report on Wastewater
The Mayor explained that the goal of this meeting is to review the report received from Weston &
Sampson with the Director to bring everyone up to speed on the current status of each item.
Andy Patrician, David Simmons and John Adie join the discussion.
The Director provided a brief overview and explained that Weston & Sampson was hired to
review the status of the plant, pump stations, standard operation procedures and the WERF
schedule.
David Simmons provided an update on various projects outlined in the report:
1. Headworks project: Installation of second bar screen is in process by Penta and both
channels should be running in about a week.
2. Raw wastewater pumps: All four are working. Two new pumps are on order – these were
scheduled to be replaced on the WERF schedule and will replace the two older pumps.
Installation will be performed in-house or by a contractor depending when the pumps arrive.
3. Grid chambers: Both are in operation (in-house installation)
4. Primary clarifiers: Three are working, one is being repaired and one is down. We have had the
one that is down examined and received a report.
