Call to Order and Welcome The regular meeting of the Nashua Business and Industrial Development Authority was called to order at 8:21 a.m. on April 17, 2015 in City Hall Conference Room 208, by Chairman Jack Tulley. Present: Chairman Jack Tulley , Vice Chairman Heath Gaffney, Jason Haviland, John Stabile, Camille Pattison, Mark Prolman, Carl Andrade, Karen Tehan, and Tom Galligani Other Attendees: Beth Hamilton 2. Approval of Meeting Minutes from March 20, 2015 MOTION TO APPROVE THE MINUTES MADE BY J STABILE. MOTION WAS SECONDED BY J HAVILAND AND APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY. 3. Developer’s Forum Update The date of the Nashua Developers Showcase is Thursday, June 4, 2015. J Tulley has requested that the BIDA members arrive by 8:15am. The morning will start with a full breakfast, networking, and a brief presentation. T Galligani, C Pattison, and B Hamilton have met to discuss the feel of advertising, a timeline, and website information. James Vayo will also be invited to join to assist in creating an informational booklet to give to each attendee with information on the City of Nashua and each site that will be highlighted during the showcase. B Hamilton and T Galligani tested a driving route and have brought the route to the BIDA. The map is located at the end of the minutes and was tested to take approximately 2 hours, including a stop at 30 Temple Street for an aerial view of Downtown Nashua. The tour will leave the Radisson hotel and drive by each site. The buses, to be rented, will have multi-media tools included to utilize time in the bus to show with a PowerPoint or similar presentation. J Tulley offered a gate pass to the Nashua Airport, if we feel it would benefit to show attendees. B Hamilton prepared a small presentation highlighting some of the sites and other landmarks that the bus tour would include. The idea is to really show the opportunities available, what other developments are happening in Nashua, and the amenities that Nashua already has to offer. The tour, depending on number of attendees, will be broken up onto two separate buses. There was also general discussion about including city officials and/or BIDA members on a pre-tour test run on a city owned bus. 4. Bridge Street Project Update 1 Renaissance has agreed to bring all potential plans for the Bridge Street Project to the May 2015 BIDA Meeting. A general discussion was had about how to come to a close with Renaissance if that becomes the logical choice. T Galligani to revisit the agreement with the Legal Department to better acclimate prior to the May BIDA Meeting. A few BIDA Members expressed the feeling that the right financial environment is the current environment. There was concern expressed that if the project does not happen soon, the financial climate might not be favorable enough to complete a project such as this. The concluding discussion of the BIDA is that the Bridge Street Project may not be ripe for a project such as this, and after the meeting in May, it may be time to make a hard decision. 5. East Hollis Street Gateway Potential solutions for the East Hollis Street Gateway are going to be presented at public meetings in the coming months. The original solution, a roundabout, may not be the most effective solution. T Galligani agreed to keep the BIDA informed about the next steps to be taken. 6. Other Business As Renaissance is planning on providing all potential developments for the Bridge Street Project at the next meeting, BIDA members should plan on the meeting being longer than usual. T Galligani to evaluate if a larger meeting space will be more conducive to such a long and important meeting. 7.
