Dana’s Last Day with Nashua ETV: Stacy said today’s meeting is Dana’s last day with the Education Channel. The
position of Secretary in the Office of Grants and Community Development in District Office, Dana’s position, is
eliminated due to budget constraints. Members celebrated by sharing a delicious blueberry coffeecake baked by
Stacy. Members also presented Dana with a beautiful blue and white flower arrangement along with their good
wishes and regrets that she would no longer be part of the Committee. Dana expressed her sincerest thanks for
the flowers, their thoughtfulness, and that it has been a real pleasure to serve the Committee since its inception
in January 2007. Members reflected on Nashua ETV’s progress over the past eight years.
Review 04.10.15 and 3.10.15 Meeting Minutes: Cherrie Fulton noted one correction to the April 14 minutes:
Under “Graduations” the date for the Title I Preschool graduation should be changed from 06.17.15 to 06.15.15.

THERESA LUCIER SECONDED.
SO VOTED.
Joel Iwaskiewicz, Nashua ETV Host for I on Education: Stacy said a new and welcome development this year for
Nashua ETV was the I on Education program with Joel. Stacy said Joel is always willing and ready to do a program
which only requires brief preparation due to his familiarity with Nashua schools both as a graduate and teacher at
NHS South. Stacy will send Joel a letter of commendation on behalf of the Nashua ETV Committee.
• 04.22.15 Destination Imagination
• 05.04.15 6th Grade Push Up Day
• 05.18.15 Class of 2015 Officers: Joel interviewed class officers from the Academy of Science and Design
on May 26, 2015. Class officers from NHS North or South were not available for interviews due to their
very busy spring schedules. Stacy said that the month of May may not be the best time for class officer
interviews; she will note that a better time may be in February of March of the school year.
• Additional Interview Ideas: Stacy asked members to send her ideas for interview programs.
o I on Education Programs for next year – Pete said two interview programs are already lined up
for next year:
1) Broad Street Elementary School improvements and renovations – Joel will tour the building
with the school principal while filming. Stacy said more thought should be given to the
presentation of the Broad Street Elementary project and that better communication with the
community is needed on the expenditures for capital improvements and investments in our
schools. Cherrie said before and after pictures would be beneficial to show the progress of
the project, particularly for the upcoming Sunset Heights renovation. Stacy said she already
has photos and video from the Broad Street project.
Nashua ETV Minutes, June 9, 2015
