MINUTES CITY OF NASHUA CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS COMMITTEE FY 2011 January 4, 2010 6:30 P.M. Room 208, City Hall 229 Main Street In attendance: Absent: Kenneth Dufour Laurence Szetela Roger Houston Charles Budris Louise Trottier Michael Gilbar Brian McCarthy (Alderman) David Fredette Marcia Wilkins 1. Call to Order Chair Ken Dufour called the meeting to order at 6:35 P.M. 2. Approval of Minutes – October 19, 2009 Louise Trottier made a motion to approve the minutes of October 19, 2009. David Fredette seconded with changes. Change the start time to read from 7:53 to 7:33. The motion passed unanimously. 3. Division Presentations a. Nashua Airport Authority Royce Rankin, Airport Manager, updated the CIC on the progress at the airport. Royce Rankin said the mitigation implementation and easement acquisition for the runway relocation was covered under the Airport Improvement Program. The airport is not requesting funding from the Capital Budget for this project in FY2011. b. Nashua Public Library Susan Deschenes presented the Library’s requests. East Wing Interior Expansion 2. Replacement of the existing 35 year old fire alarm system. 3. Carpeting 4. Compact Shelving Susan Deschenes also discussed the Six (6) year plan including the main floor renovations. c. Nashua Fire Rescue Assistant Chief Anderson presented the Division’s requests, their deferred maintenance projects. Chief Anderson discussed the Six (6) year plan including Station 7 in the Northwest Quadrant and Station 8 in the Southwest Quadrant. Motion to Adjourn: Dave Fredette made a motion to adjourn.
