MINUTES CITY OF NASHUA CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS COMMITTEE FY 2015 January 6, 2014 6:00 P.M. Room 208, City Hall 229 Main Street Members in attendance: Dan Kelly, Chair Charles Budris, Vice Chair Roger Houston, Secretary Ald. Call to Order by Chair Dan Kelly called the meeting to order at 6:02 PM. 2. Approval of Minutes Charlie Budris made a motion to approve the minutes of October 7, 2013. The motion passed unanimously. 3. Division Presentations a. Airport Authority – Steve Bourque   Mr. Bourque said they have two requests for FY2015,$750,000 to rehabilitate the perimeter fence and $350,000 to purchase some property. The FAA share is 90% with the City and State share at 5% each. b. Nashua Fire Rescue – Assistant Fire Chief Steven Galipeau They are requesting the following for FY2015: • Deferred Maintenance –Station 3 – Additional Bay • Deferred Maintenance – All 7 facilities • Deferred Maintenance – Station 1 – Hose Tower • Deferred Maintenance – Fire Alarm Municipal Alarm System c. Nashua Public Library – Jennifer Hinderer • Replace flooring in Children’s and Stearns Room They will also be receiving funds from the Chandler Trust for the East Wing Expansion but are not requesting any money for that project. d. Nashua Police Department – Captain Scott Hammond  Mr. Hammond said they are requesting funding in FY2015 for a 6 Bay Specialty Vehicle Garage to house the specialty vehicles. e. Communications – Bill Mansfield  Mr. Mansfield said they are requesting funding to upgrade the radio communications system. Motion to amend the schedule to allow the Department of Public Works to present at the January 13, 2013 was made. The motion passed unanimously.
