SUBJ: 0-13-41, Establishing an Overnight On-Street Parking Pilot Program in a Designated
Downtown Area
Alderman Donchess and Bergeron,
I just received a copy of the all night parking ordinance. I have two concerns with the legislation as
written and I was wondering if we could briefly discuss them? I am not sure who the proper person to
speak to would be. The first issue, is that I would like the placement of the sticker to be placed on rear
DRIVER side door, as opposed to passenger side. The reason for this for the Parking Enforcement
Specialist to be able to see the sticker from the street. The second issue is wording dealing with 1.
People parking with no sticker in a designated spot and 2. People with stickers parking in a non
designated spot. I would like to see a clarification in the legislation advising that any violation of the
ordinance would constitute a parking without a permit violation or something to that effect.
If you would like to contact me, please call me anytime. Thank you for your time.
