The Hunt Building Minutes June 5, 2012 4:40 pm Regular Meeting started at 4:40 pm.- Meeting held at City Hall Room 208 In attendance: Joy Barrett, Carolyn Mortellaro, Tammy Crisp, Frank Mellen, Cail Bellavance, Dick LaRose, Rosalie McQuaid, Alderman Mary Ann Melizzi-Golja, Marilyn Solomon, Charlie Matthews and Brenda Tulley Secretary’s Report: Motion to accept the May 2012 secretary’s report. Motion to accept minutes made by Dick LaRose second by Rosalie McQuaid . All in favor. Motion carries. Treasurers Report: May Statement 2012 – Total Budget $33,447 Comments: 6006 Hunt Bldg. (NH Charitable) $3,495.82 No Expenditures Hunt Building Rental Income $2,150.00 Expended $400.00 Hunt Building Budget $7,584.40 Available 77% $25,862.60 Expended $5,750.40 Hunt Memorial Fund $13,942.51 Revenue $327.78 Ella Anderson Trust $916.18 Expended $1,064.97 Moose Plate Grant -0- Motion made to look into how much money to move into other contracted services acct. #55, the max allowed for the erection of the sign. Motion made by Dick LaRose second by Frank Mellen. All in favor. Motion carries. Motion to accept the May 2012 Treasures Report made by Rosalie McQuaid second by Dick LaRose . All in favor. Motion carries. Administrator’s, Correspondence and Status of Renovations/Maintenance, Events Calendar: • Carolyn worked with the City of Nashua to create a real budget. • Email from Steve Bolton on the Board of GAD. Concerns regarding lease. Carolyn will review and get back to GAD. • Nashua Artist Association to have lease approved by Board of Alderman. • Kentucky Derby was a big success. Money raised was $2400.00. Thank you to Cail Bellavance for all her hard work. Motion to accept Administrators Report, Correspondence, Events Schedule and Status of Renovations/ Maintenance: Made by Frank Mellen and second by Cail Bellavance . All in favor. Motion carries. Page 1 of 2 Old Business: • Creative Signs will design two new signs with detailed drawings. The sign range in price from $7500.00 to $8120.00. • Need to get on the Historic committee agenda to get sign approved. • Placement of the sign was discussed and Trustees will meet at the Hunt Building to see where the placement of the sign will be at the August Trustees meeting. • Carolyn Mortellaro to get Creative Signs to do a mock up of the sign in front of the Hunt Building so that the Trustees can get a better view and it will be discussed at the next Hunt Building Trustees meeting. • Dick LaRose asked about any more water problems and Carolyn Mortellaro said they were all taken care of. New Business: Marketing plan by Cail Bellavance-goals for building. Cail rewrote the mission statement. • Office space rental- Discussed having a commercial real estate agent on the board. • The Hunt building web site to be on the City of Nashua site- Justin McGonigle-city employee. • Private Rentals. • Set up committees to build a data base with Cail Bellavance. Chalie Matthews will help Cail along with Marilyn Soloman to work on a list of names for our data base. • The Trustees discussed having a wedding planners expo. and inviting them in to see the Hunt building. • Public use-increase attendance-sign placement. • No new information from the friends of the Hunt. Will still wait to hear. Joy will connect with them with a City of Nashua rep. to have a meeting. Will table till August meeting. Public Comment: None Coming in August...... • Festival of trees-Cail, Carolyn, Rosalie on that committee • Site field trip for sign placement. (more detailed design and location emailed by Carolyn) • Update on data base collection.
