Picnic table sites: There are a few potential sites Nick has in mind, Mark Soucy suggested near Lincoln Park entrance as there is a waste barrel & port-a-pottie there. Organizers are seeking groups for parade floats. 3. Chairman’s Notes Greg Andruskevich Trail Day Report: Overall a success. Dick Gillespie led a team who rebuilt barriers blocking access to the red trail that is eroding near the power lines. This is to block access to the trail & prevent injuries. Used brush provided by Public works Dept. Walked the trail from the power lines out to the ice rink to check for trash & trail condition. Need a replacement sign stating the trail is closed. Pam Anderson led a team who cleaned the bridges of winter debris & trash. Nick Serpa & Brian Edwards worked on removing fence along spine road in the cove area. 4. Old Business All New John Deere utility vehicle should be delivered at any time. 5. New Business All Joshua Segal: inquired if there is a way to force race organizers to clean up after their event in the park. He found signs & trail markings from the Beaver 5k that was held over this past weekend. Nick will research to see if he can find the organization responsible. Greg Andruskevich: Cover is overflowing on Spine Road due to large beaver dam. Nick Caggiano stated the beavers have been relocated. The Waste Water crew may remove the gate blocking the sluiceway to allow the water to flow out so they can determine how large the beaver dam actually is. May need a third party contractor to dismantle the dam. Dick Gillespie: Recommended a review of the Mine Falls Park Advisory Committee bylaws and update as needed. Mark Soucy: Suggested for June trail day to clean up around the spine road entrance sign and possibly add some perennial plantings as the area is like a natural garden and could benefit from some attention.  2014 Meetings: Jan 6, Feb 3, March 3, April 7 , May 5, June 3, No July meeting, Aug 4, Sept. 8, Oct.6, Nov. 3 , Dec 1, Jan. 5, 2015  WEB SITE: http://www.gonashua.com  2014 Trail Days April 19, May 17 , June 14, No July Trail Day, Aug. 16, Sept. 20, Oct.18, optional Committee Day Nov. 15  Page 2 of 3 Mine Falls Park Advisory Committee May 5, 2014 Item Topic Lead Discussion / Conclusions Nick Serpa: MFPAC Facebook page is still a work in progress.
