Victorine MINUTES BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN PLAN ADVISORY GROUP Remote Participation April 28, 2021 – 11:30 a.m. The Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan Advisory Group meeting was held remotely on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. The meeting was called to order at 11:30 a.m. by Chairman Niedermaier. Members Present: Staff Present: Chairman Craig Niedermaier Kathy Thake, Staff Liaison Peggy Reins Tom Powers, Village Engineer Stephen Sanders Katie Schneider, Community Engagement Coordinator Ticia Doughty-Ashcroft Andrew Vitale, GIS Coordinator Nathan Bruemmer, Community Development Nick Zakula, Police Bureau Chief Members Absent: Matthew Abtahi Also Present Hadley Skeffington-Vos, Acting Village Manager Call to Order Approval of Minutes Board Member Sanders, seconded by Board Member Reins, to approve the minutes of the March 24, 2021, meeting; on voice vote all concurred. New Business I. Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan Update – Recommendation of Engineering Firm for 2014 Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan Update Budgeted for FY22 Village Engineer Powers provided an overview of which firm is being recommended for the Plan Update. He went on to further state both firms were very qualified. Village Engineer Powers stated that the staff recommendation was to proceed with Epstein. On roll call, the vote was: YEAS 4 Niedermaier, Sanders, Reins, Doughty-Ashcroft NAYS 0 ABSENT 1 Abtahi ABSTAIN 0 There being 4 affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED. Other Discussion Community Engagement Coordinator Katie Schneider provided a brief update on social media efforts centered on bike and pedestrian safety. Comments from the Public None Next Meeting Tentative Date May 26, 2021 time to be determined. Members of the public can participate remotely in the meeting and provide live comment during public comment sections of the meeting via Zoom. Public comments are limited to three minutes per person.
