To: Susan Bus
From: Michael Haws
Re: Disposal via Donation; Village 1996 Pierce Pumper, Asset #6012
The 1996 Pierce Pumper, Asset #6012, Vin#: 4P1CT02UPTA000590, has been out of
service for 18 months and is no longer of use to the Village of Niles. The last Pumper
took 3 years to finally sell and we only received $2,900.00 for it. There is not a great
demand for 22 year old fire trucks.
I request permission to dispose of this vehicle via donation to a fellow fire department
that is in need. I have discussed this in length with Chief Feld and have been told Ford
Heights is in need, in lieu of this, I recommend we donate this unit to them.
