Present: 7 - Chairman McCreery, Ostman, Wlodarski, Grcic, Skeffington-Vos, Kanelos, Mangold Absent: 0 APPROVAL OF MINUTES Chairman McCreery asked if the meeting minutes for December 1, 2016 can now be approved. Tom Kanelos approved the minutes and Rich Mangold seconded it. AYES: 7 – Chairman McCreery, Ostman, Wlodarski, Grcic, Skeffington-Vos, Kanelos, Mangold NAYS: 0 NEW BUSINESS III. Garage Sale Update Chairman Denise McCreery opened the meeting by saying she and Tom Kanelos met with the Mayor on December 8, 2016 to get his opinions and recommendations on the subject of garage sale signs. He said he was still in favor of them and wanted to continue with them, charging $7.00 for a permit and receiving up to four (4) signs in color not black and white - free. After much discussion about the garage sale signs and enforcing the participants to take them down after their sale, the committee decided to go along with the Mayor’s wishes and continue with the garage sale signs. The verbiage in the ordinance will stay with five (5) instead of four (4) signs but the wording will be adjusted accordingly if needed. Village of Niles Page 2 of 3 Building and Zoning Meeting Minutes December 15, 2016 Committee Meeting Hadley Skeffington-Vos mentioned she will make sure that all of this information regarding garage sales will be in the next Village of Niles Spring, 2017 Focus on Niles flyer. VI. Next Meeting Date Tom Kanelos asked the committee what date would be good for the next meeting. Rich Mangold mentioned that he would not be available all of January, 2017. The next meeting was not scheduled. VII. Adjournment Chairman Denise McCreery entertained a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:50am.
