COMMISSION FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND NEIGHBORHOOD RENEWAL MEETING SUMMARY Monday, November 26, 2018 I. Call to Order Meeting was called to order at approximately 5:40pm. II. Approval of Minutes Minutes of the May 17, 2018 Meeting were unanimously approved. III. Updates on EDNR Sub-Committee’s Updates were given on the three sub-committee’s:  Home Design & Improvement District- met recently with the Charter member Businesses. They have set a goal of officially launching the District in March to coincide with the beginning of home purchase and renovation season.  Home Improvement – is working on a Home Improvement Investment Program. Details are being worked out with Legal and a full report on the potential program will be given at the next EDNR Meeting.  Marketing- The Village has retained the services of a marketing firm to assist with Village wide marketing efforts a5 and a 5 is present to offer some initial thoughts. IV. Introduction of a5 (Village marketing firm) John Harris from a 5 was present and gave a presentation about a5, how they believe they can assist the Village with our marketing efforts and to answer questions from the Commission. V. Share/Ask Something Trustee McCreery asked that the Commission look into the following at future meetings:  Development of neighborhood Associations  Military Honor Banners  Water bill “promotion”  “Round Up” to go to charity Mike Shields asked that the Commission look into what is not in the 2030 Plan but perhaps should be in and potential updates to this plan. VI. Adjournment The meeting adjourned at 7:27pm.
