FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES VILLAGE OF NILES , ILLINOIS September 2, 2014, 4:00 P.M. 1000 Civic Center Dr. Niles, IL 60714 Chairman Valle called the regular monthly meeting to order at 4:00 P.M. and took roll call. Present: Chairman Valle, Commissioner Mangold, Police Chief Strzelecki and Fire Chief Borkowski. Absent: Commissioner Mueller and Village Attorney Annunzio. Approval of Minutes: The minutes of the August 5, 2014 meeting were approved. Motion: Commissioner Mangold. Second: Chairman Valle. Yeas: Commissioner Mangold, Chairman Valle. Nays: . Abstain: . Correspondence: Discuss the successful completion of Firefighter/Paramedic Caleb LaLonde’s probationary period. Old Business: Fire Eligibility examination is on September 6th at 8:30 AM at NIPSTA. New Business: None. The regular meeting was closed at 4:06 P.M. and opened in Executive Session per 5 ILCS 120/2 (1) Personnel. Motion: Commissioner Mangold. Second: Chairman Valle. Yeas: Commissioner Mangold, Chairman Valle. Nays: . Abstain: . The Executive Session opened at 4:06 P.M. to discuss Fire and Police personnel matters. The regular meeting was reconvened at 4:18 P.M.
