FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES VILLAGE OF NILES , ILLINOIS March 1, 2018 7000 W. Touhy Avenue Niles, IL 60714 Chairman Mueller called the meeting to order at 10:04 A.M. and took roll call. Present: Commissioner Pacheco, Commissioner Borkowki, Chairman Mueller, Fire Chief Feld and Commander Tornabene. Absent: Chief Tigera. Approval of Minutes: The minutes of the February 1, 2018 meeting were approved. Motion: Commissioner Pacheco. Second: Commissioner Borkowki. Yeas: Commissioner Pacheco, Commissioner Borkowki, Chairman Mueller. Nays: . Abstain:. Correspondence: None. Old Business: None. New Business: In process of hiring one new Police Officer and promote a new Sergeant. The regular meeting was closed at 10:10 A.M. and opened in Executive Session per 5 ILCS 120/2 (1) Personnel. Motion: Commissioner Pacheco. Second: Commissioner Borkowki. Yeas: Commissioner Pacheco, Commissioner Borkowki, Chairman Mueller. Nays: . Abstain: . The Executive Session opened at 10:10 A.M. to discuss Fire and Police personnel matters. The regular meeting was reconvened at 10:14 A.M. The next regular monthly meeting of the Commission is scheduled for April 5, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. The regular meeting was adjourned at 10:14 A.M. Motion: Commissioner Pacheco.
