Vinezeano – Village Manager Andrew Vitale called the meeting to order at 8:33 a.m. Agenda Item #1 – Approval of Minutes The minutes of the July 23, 2014 meeting were approved. Agenda Item #2 – Old Business – Project Updates Orthophotography & Planimetric Data A. Vitale reported that he has begun the process of QA / QC the new orthophotography and the planimetric data. HE will have more to report at the next Steering Committee Meeting Pavement Condition Manager A. Vitale & S. Cusick have implemented the “From” and “To” data within the Street Centerlines dataset needed for the Pavement Condition Data Collection effort by Engineering. This additional data will also be utilized by the new Pavement Condition Manager software also from Engineering. EVP Lights A. Vitale has not heard back from B. Pilat regarding the EVP Lights and he will consider the project on hold until he hears otherwise. Agenda Item #3 – New Business GIS FY 2016 Budget A. Vitale distributed a proposed draft FY 2016 GIS Budget for the Committees review. HE noted that for the third year in a row, the total GIS budget request and actual expenditure has dropped while GIS has continued to offer expanded data and services to more Village departments than in years past. He will keep the Committee informed on the final state of the GIS Budget once it is approved. ArcGIS Server A. Vitale reported that the MIS and GIS departments are now ready to start the process of upgrading the software which provides the map engine portion of Atlas. This will involve  De-commissioning our ArcIMS software  Upgrading several servers  Upgrading VueWorks  Installing the new mapping engine – ArcGIS Server. This will represent a major advancement forward in our mapping capabilities. However, it will also mean that our online mapping capability will be unavailable for the foreseeable future. A. Vitale and S. Cusick offered that this outage could last 1 – 3 months. Water & Sewer Atlas Redevelopment A. Vitale has been working with J. Grana and other Water Division staff on updating several components to the Water and Sewer Atlases available online to Village staff. A. Vitale hopes to have a more complete report by the next meeting. Easements Agenda Item #4 – Completed / Ongoing Projects Public Services A. Vitale reported that a method has been established for the nightly export of relevant GIS data to a useable CAD format (DWG) for the Engineering Department. He will continue to fine-tune this process as needed by Engineering. Agenda Item #5 – Next Meeting The next meeting was tentatively scheduled for April 22, 2015 at 8:30 am.
