All rose for the Pledge of Allegiance. PRESENT: 6 Chairman Thomas Kanelos, Commissioners Ted Karabatsos, Robert Schulter, Barbara Nakanishi, Terrence McConville and Morgan Dubiel Also present was Director of Community Development Charles Ostman and Village Attorney Danielle Grcic. Commissioner Susan DeBartolo was absent. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Chairman Kanelos asked if there were any additions, clarifications or corrections to the minutes of March 4, 2019. There were no additions, clarifications or corrections. Commissioner Dubiel moved to approve the minutes of March 4, 2019. Seconded by Commissioner McConville, on roll call the vote was: AYES: 5 Dubiel, Schulter, Nakanishi, McConville, Kanelos NAYS: 0 ABSTAIN: 1 Karabatsos ABSENT: 1 DeBartolo There being five (5) affirmative votes the motion carried. OLD BUSINESS 18-ZP-28; Grosse Pointe Manor; 6601 W. Touhy Avenue Continued discussion of a request to allow an amendment to an existing Special Use for a ‘Residential Care Facility’ to allow an addition to the building which will create 21 additional beds. Chairman Kanelos said there is another request to continue this item to the May 6, 2019 meeting. He then made a motion to continue item 18-ZP-28. He advised Ms. Mauer, the petitioner, that she needs to produce a signed, recorded, shared parking agreement to this Board of Commissioners. Commissioner Dubiel moved to continue item 18-ZP-28; Grosse Pointe Page 2 of 4 Planning and Zoning Board Final Approved Meeting Minutes April 1, 2019 ________________________________________________________________________ Manor; 6601 W. Touhy Avenue, continued discussion of a request to allow an amendment to an existing Special Use for a ‘Residential Care Facility’ to allow an addition to the building which will create 21 additional beds. Seconded by Commissioner Nakanishi, on roll call the vote was: AYES: 6 Dubiel, Karabatsos, Schulter, Nakanishi, McConville, Kanelos NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 1 DeBartolo There being six (6) affirmative votes the motion carried. NEW BUSINESS 19-ZP-3: M&A Auto: 8795 N. Milwaukee Avenue Request for approval of an amendment to Ordinances 2018-30 and 1964-47, to allow modifications to the conditions and approvals for the auto repair and limited outdoor storage at 8795 North Milwaukee Avenue, Niles, Illinois 60714. Chairman Kanelos said he was in receipt of a memo asking for a continuance for this case until the next meeting, May 6, 2019. He then made a motion to continue item 19-ZP-3. Commissioner Dubiel moved to continue item 19-ZP-3 requesting approval of an amendment to Ordinances 2018-30 and 1964-47, to allow modifications to the conditions and approvals for the auto repair and limited outdoor storage at 8795 North Milwaukee Avenue, Niles, Illinois 60714. Seconded by Commissioner McConville, on roll call the vote was: AYES: 6 Dubiel, Karabatsos, Schulter, Nakanishi, McConville, Kanelos NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 1 DeBartolo There being six (6) affirmative votes the motion carried. He entertained a motion to adjourn. Commissioner Nakanishi moved to adjourn. Seconded by Commissioner Schulter, on roll call the vote was: AYES: 6 Nakanishi, McConville, Dubiel, Karabatsos, Schulter, Kanelos NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 1 DeBartolo There being six (6) affirmative votes the motion carried.
