MEETING SUMMARY
Thursday, July 17, 2014 – 1:30 PM
Fire Station 2 – Room # 117, 8360 W. Dempster St
Members Present: Chris Hanusiak - Chair, Police Chief Dean Strzelecki, Fire Chief Steve
Borkowski, Anthony Fidanza.
Members Absent: None
Meeting began at 1:30 PM
NEW BUSINESS
Fire Apparatus Update
Chief Borkowski updated committee on fire apparatus.
Engine received last May in service and running without problemsNew ambulance out
for striping, once returned, will be stocked, certified by the state and hospital and then be
put in service.
Tower Ladder truck is scheduled to be picked up July 29-30, 2014.Maintenance will do
some minor work, firefighters will trained on operation and driving of vehicle.
Fire Station Study Update
Draft report received. A final report should be forthcoming and a presentation of the
study to the board will be made.
Firefighter Applicant Test Update
As of today there have been 104 applications purchased for test. Last date to apply is
8/13/2014. Test is scheduled for 9/6/2014
