Call to Order Called to order at 09:00 with Trustee Strzelecki, Chief Tigera, Chief Feld in attendance. Absent was T. Fidanza II. Approval of Minutes Approval of the September 13, 2019 was approved with the one correction under New Business (Police Garage). Motioned was made by Chief Feld, second by Chief Tigera. III. New Business a. Fire Station Alerting System: A discussion was held on the purchase and installation of a station alerting system at both fire houses. Chief Feld explained that USDD was the vendor chosen by RED Center for the hardware. The fire department was requesting a bid waiver,, as there are only two certified installation vendors in the area. Digicom Installations was $2,554 lower than Chicago Communication. The request was approved by the Public Safety Committee. b. Towing without prior notice: Chief Tigera requested an amendment to the Parking Ordinance, Chapter 98-237 Towing without prior notice – by adding the verbiage, “violations of parking permits and/or disobedience of signs”. Certain permit area violators disregard the signs and tickets, which becomes a collection issue. The request was approved by the Public Safety Committee. IV. Executive Session (if needed): N/A V.
