Mayor Emrich read statement regarding rules of decorum. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Elaine Emrich. 1. City of North Port Page 1 Printed on 6/9/2026 City Commission Workshop Meeting Minutes May 4, 2026 Ms. Aloisio and Mr. Brown provided a presentation including 2025 Atlantic hurricane season, 2026 Colorado State University (CSU) hurricane season outlook, program improvements, current preparations, residents' roles, and Emergency Operations Center (EOC) project update. Commission questions and discussion took place regarding Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on-site training, Web-based Emergency Operations Center (WebEOC) software, county resource coordination, Homeowners Association (HOA) policies and debris removal, emergency response procedures, employee compensation and FEMA reimbursement, Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) project denial and improvement options, evacuation routes and interchange access, and reserve funding for emergency response. PUBLIC COMMENT: In Person: Tim Doyle: Expressed concerns regarding Sarasota County tax collection and budget deficit. 4.
