Multi-media approach
Educational
Stories of the roots of the North Shore Black population
Program Title/Content: Journeys
Entertaining, engaging, powerful personal stories of Black
Americans’ journeys to the North Shore of Chicago.
Stories presented via rap, song, poetry, Video and more.
Target Audience: All ages, with a particular outreach to older youth
Program Structure: 6 – 6:30 Food. Meet and greet
6:30 -7:45 (est.) Presentations
7:45 – 8:30 Audience questions/discussion
Committee Tasks
Each committee member volunteered for tasks to be completed by the next meeting.
