3 Interfaith Sunday Subcommittee
4 Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Northbrook Village Hall - Shermer Room

6 Present: Chair Chris Kosla, and subcommittee members Dr. Rochelle Singer; Ron Mantegna,
7 Alice Lonoff; and Bob Lozaro. Village Representative: Mike Strong.
8 Absent: Mary Hansen. Guests: None.
9 Call to Order / Purpose of Meeting. Chairman Kosla called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. The
10 purpose of the meeting was to continue planning for the April 19th Interfaith Sunday.
11 Participating Houses of Worship. We now have 10. Chris will circulate updated list.
12 Passports / Interactive Map. We have until April 12th to finalize Passports for printing. We
13 concluded we should have 225. Each participating House of Worship will have 10, and 125 will be
14 available at St. Giles at the kick-off. Mike showed us a sample smart phone interactive map based
15 on 2011 data. Each House will have 250 characters of space to describe themselves on the smart-
16 phone application. Melissa Earley will update the Clergy letter of welcome for the Passport. Alice
17 will provide Michael with the lyrics to the three songs that will be sung at the Kick-off.
18 T-Shirts. T-Shirts should be done by April 6th. If they cannot be delivered, Bob Lozaro will pick
19 up. Melissa is to find out shirt size for the hosts at each House of Worship, and a name / phone
20 number at each place for us to use to arrange drop-off.
21 Flyers / Banners / PR. Flyers are available for pick-up. Some have already been placed at the
22 library, Village Hall, and other places. Michael showed us one of the 3x6 banners. He will arrange
23 for installation at (1) Village Presbyterian, (2) Triangle by train station, and (3) Northbrook United
24 Methodist Church (corner of Cherry and Western) if a metal framework is up and available to use.
25 Judy Hughes has written up an article for the next NB newsletter – to be put in her column.
26 Giveaways. Bob Lozaro showed us the freebies he has obtained for the trivia contest. There are
27 sufficient for the trivia contest. Ron Mantegna will be in charge of the contest – start at 4:20 – go to
28 5 pm.
29 Food / Pizzas / Utensils. Chris will pick up a fruit tray and water bottles from Sunset by 3:45 and
30 take to Village Hall. Pizzas will be delivered at 4 pm. The Village normally tips a delivery person
31 10% of the pizza bill so we will do the same. Michael rounded up plates, napkins, forks to set out.
32 Speakers at Kick-off. Sandy Frum, Village President, is confirmed, as is Ray Wehr, chair of CRC,
33 and Reverend Melissa Earley, chair of NB Clergy Association. The format for the kick-off is as set
34 forth in the Minutes of the meeting on 3.12.2015.
35 Next Meeting. Chris will announce one final meeting in the week prior to the event to go over final
36 details, and divide up shirts / stamps / sign-in sheets to be delivered to the various Houses.
37 The meeting concluded at 8:20 pm.
