Chairman’s Report
Before the commencement of the meeting business, the group weeded and mulched the rain garden behind
the Village Hall. The group will continue to care for the garden prior to each monthly meeting.
Chairman Reynolds reported that no Stormwater subcommittee meeting was held since the last EQC
meeting. He said that he feels that best management practices will be include in all future projects outlined
in the Stormwater Master Plan.
He then reported that the Sustainability Plan committee met with the Park District and the consultant Delta
Institute. He said that the group will begin to compile the necessary documents to begin work on the Plan.
Chairman Reynolds mentioned that the MWRD will not be working on any project that benefits only
Glenview, and that any project at Willow Festival should be endorsed by an outside organization rather than
by the Village. Member Paul then said that he thinks REI would benefit from a boat launch area at Willow
Festival. Member Masters will speak with Rob Sulski about considering the project.
