Mr. Strauch began the presentation by orienting the commissioners as to the

Mr. Yeosock helped the commissioners to visualize what the project would look
like on a site plan. Most of the funding is from the state, with city funding going to the

been leased to the train station. There was a discussion of the timeline of the project.
c) 8-24 Review - Department of Public Works – Traffic signal
improvements at various locations
Mr. Strauch began the presentation by explaining how monies from the Capital
Budget are accumulating to improve four intersections. He showed them aerials of each

They were picked on the basis of the age and condition of the equipment. Most of them
were very old. Paul Sotnick continued the presentation by explaining how it was a little
dangerous for technicians to fix them. Handicap ramps and crosswalks would also be
installed when the project was done on some of the intersections. Ms. King remarked
that she liked the poles that were now wrapped. This was a safety feature. There was a
discussion about the costs.
II. Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD)
a) Status report
Mr. Kleppin said that the staff had received a draft proposal from Stantec earlier
