September 20, 2016
PRESENT: Steven Ferguson, acting as Chair; George Tsiranides; Walter McLaughlin; Fran

Before the meeting began, Ms. DiMeglio, as acting Chair of the Planning Commission
appointed Mr. Ferguson as Chair of the Subdivision committee and Mr. Tsiranides and Mr.
McLaughlin as committee members.
Mr. Ferguson called the meeting to order at 7:32 p.m.
I. SUBDIVISIONS
a) Subdivision #3642 / #24-16 CAM - Halloran & Sage, LLP – 34 Meadow Street – 2 Lots –
Preliminary review
Ms. Wilson began the presentation by orienting the commissioners as to the location of the
property on an aerial map and then showed them the site She also showed them pictures of Meadow
Street. Both of the lots met or exceeded the requirements for the subdivision. The applicant had also
submitted a letter requesting a waiver of the sidewalks which the staff had received the day of the
Subdivision Committee meeting. She indicated that the area was well-developed so the staff did not
think they would want to waive sidewalks. There was a discussion about whether the applicant should
withdraw since they did not have all of their sign-offs.
Atty Constantini continued the presentation by explaining the nature of the current use of the
property. He said that the entire lot is used for a salvage yard. The applicant no longer needs the
whole property for the business. There was a discussion as to whether this property would be
affected by the Transit Oriented Development (“TOD”) plan which it would not. There was then a
discussion as to why the applicant had requested a waiver of the sidewalks. There was also a
discussion about whether there would be a public hearing in October. Atty Constantini said that the
applicant understood that they would not the application would not be voted on at the public hearing if
they did not have all of their sign-offs.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:46 p.m.
