Call To Order The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. in room 130. Present: President Abu-Taleb (7:14 p.m.), Trustee Brewer, Trustee Tucker and Trustee Ott. Also in attendance: Cara Pavlicek, Village Manager, Tammie Grossman, Director of Development Customer Service and Paul Stephanides, Village Attorney. Gail Moran, Brad Bartels and Sara Barnett from the Visitor’s Bureau were also in attendance. 2. Roll Call 3. Public Comment There were no public comments 4. Approval of Minutes from May 26, 2015 A. ID 15-226 Motion to approve minutes from the Reinventing Government Committee Meeting on May 26, 2015. Trustee Tucker made a motion to approve the minutes of May 26, 2015. Seconded by Trustee Brewer. Ayes: all. Nays: none. Motion carried. 5. Old Business B. ID 15-223 Status Report on Various Contracts for Services Gail Moran from the Visitor’s Bureau discussed results from Economic Development Corporation discussions which included the recommendation to hire new CEO Sara Barnett. Ms. Barnett introduced herself. Manager Pavlicek discussed information which will be reviewed at the next Reinventing Government meeting including finances, statutory allocation with last Governor, current legislation, opportunities for collaboration, contract changes going forward. The next meeting will also include a meeting with the Housing Center. C. ID 15-224 Discussion of Assistant Village Manager Vacancy Manager Pavlicek discussed the Assistant Village Manager vacancy position and reviewed options. It was agreed to outsource the position. Adjournment to Executive Session to Discuss the Appointment, Employment, Compensation, Discipline, Performance, or Dismissal of Specific Employees of the Public Body Pursuant to 5 ILCS120/2(c)(1). There was a motion to adjourn to Executive Session to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body pursuant to 5 ILCS120/2(c)(21) by Trustee Ott at 7:42 p.m. Seconded by Trustee Brewer. Ayes: all. Nays: none. Motion carried. Meeting was adjourned to Executive Session at 8:02 p.m. 8. Return to Open Session 9.
